Canine Comprehensive is an all-encompassing, all-inclusive dog training and walking facility based in Oakland, California.

Canine Comprehensive has proudly served the Bay Area and surrounding states for over a decade in rehabilitating foster dogs, rearing puppies, and tackling all manner of behavioral concerns.

Through services designed to compliment one another, custom programming and a dedicated one-on-one relationship with your trainer, our goal is to support owners in giving their dogs access to a full and fulfilling life— opening up their worlds as a result.

it’s you and your dog, as a team.

Every dog is individual, with unique needs and challenges. We’ll consider your lifestyle, home, health, and personal goals when building your training plan. To best ensure success, we’ll first meet you and your dog for an evaluation either at home, at facility, or virtually.

After the evaluation, we’ll provide a custom list of reccommended services via email. This allows us to join your training journey on the same page, ready to go.

Our services are comprehensive

We provide everything you need to reach success in your training journey. Whether you’re considering a new dog, welcoming a new family member, or navigating new and old behaviors, we’ve got you.

  • Board and Trains are customized 24/7 training programs designed to create unparalleled results for your dog.

    Included is a facility stay, 3 pre-program and 3 post-program support sessions, and customized programming. This is a thorough program fit for busy families, and one of our favorite programs to help with.

    And yes— results transfer home!

  • Overnight boarding that includes photos and training consistency from our team. Boarding is at our in-home facility located on the beautiful 400+ acres of Knowland Park.

    Only available to current and past clients.

  • One-on-one sessions. We’ll teach you a skill, then have you work with your dog daily at home.

    At the following session, you’ll progress onto the next skill, and continue until we’ve reached your goals.

  • Our walkers will pick your dog up and hit the city with up to 6 other pack dogs for an hour. Our walkers then drop your dog safetly home.

    While supporting on-going training, exercise, and socialization, packs also provide a little dopamine boost through a daily dog photo.

  • Finding the right dog for you can ensure a lifetime of great memories. We’ll help you find a dog that aligns with your lifestyle, behavioral and aesthetic preferences.

    Includes an hour-long interview to understand your home environment and lifestyle, followed by recommending suitable breeds and guidance on the selection process.
