Private, one-on-one sessions to teach you to train your dog. We will teach you a skill and then you will work with your dog daily to progress and be ready for the next skill. These sessions are best utilized if most of the family can attend together and you are willing and able to commit to homework. This is a great option for anyone who’s excited about learning about dog training, has the time to dedicate to the process, those with younger dogs, and dogs who are looking to brush up obedience but don’t require serious behavior modification.

We use a balanced training approach. Balanced training uses positive reinforcement to teach new behaviors and corrective training aids to communicate unwanted behaviors. At Canine Comprehensive, we tailor each training package to the needs of that dog. New clients begin with an initial evaluation so we can get to know your family and the unique needs of your dog(s). During the evaluation, you will meet with your trainer to discuss objectives that will help your dog and family live in better harmony. We want to help you reach your goals!

If you are dealing with core behavioral issues like barking and lunging on leash, bitting, general anxiety, separation anxiety, or resource guarding we recommend you consider our Board and Train program.

Seriously, I can’t thank [Canine Comprehensive] enough. The progress Dasha and I have made over the last 6 months has far surpassed what I thought was possible. Dasha has become such a secure, fun-loving, responsive dog. It is so much easier for me to take her places and have fun with her. She is good with everyone, including kids. Her play with other dogs has really calmed down, and while she still gets excited, she’s no longer aggressive to the point that I’m worried she will escalate. We’ve gone camping five times this summer and she has done so well each time. She routinely wins the hearts of strangers and I feel my own bond with her deepening so much. It is so much fun to have her!! I am so grateful for [Tobey’s} help.
