Obedience Training

For every dog obedience is a foundational component. When your dog knows inherently to look to you for guidance many behavioral problems can be stopped before they start. Obedience training also gives a dog’s brain a workout- we often forget about mental stimulation for our dogs. While a lot of physical exercise can be inherently beneficial, working a dogs brain is a critical component of giving them a happy and successful life. Our obedience foundation programs are focused on:

• Ensuring your dog not only knows how to learn, but instilling a love for learning so your training can be effective and rewarding

• Building reflexive behaviors in addition to commands- making sure your dog knows to make the right choices on their own

• Teaching each dog/ human team about how dogs learn so they can be successful communicators with each other

• Building on skills as a ladder- with more advanced skills loading onto the foundational support we have previously built

We’ve seen the better trained a dog is the bigger their world becomes- giving them the ability to go to cafes, breweries, parks, and travel alongside their families.
